Looksee
Brief
Making primary healthcare accessible to all New Zealanders
Choose a sector within the primary healthcare system and determine what problems that sector is having with accessibility. Then provide possible solutions for your decided target audience that could increase accessibility.
Solution
We decided to create looksee which is an eye-strengthening toolkit designed for children with alternating divergent squint. Aimed to make their daily eye strengthening exercises such as eye tracking and 2-3 hours of eye patch time, more accessible for children who struggle to partake in these exercises as they are mundane and unengaging.
The kit includes double-sided cards featuring anaglyph imagery, creative prompts, red/blue glasses and a set of interactive blocks. These tools support the development of visual skills through techniques such as monocular eye training and depth perception exercises.
Looksee aims to transform traditional eye exercises into fun, engaging, and imaginative experiences for kids.
Involvement
I was the primary graphic designer for the Looksee project working on both digital and physical aspects.
Initial packing design, box inserts, wrapping box, crafting guide, card box, and red/blue glasses
